Some handy information for parents driving their children to school.

Dear Parents and Carers

Parking Issues and the safety of the children

Thank you for your continued patience and support during the continued building work.

As you know, we encourage all our children to walk or cycle to school. If this isn’t possible, please be considerate of our walking families and our neighbours in the community.

If you do need to drive, please follow these rules for collection and drop-off

·         Donnington Gardens – Please do not park across or in residents’ driveways. Please also note the new double yellow lines.

·         North Mead and West Mead – Please take notice of the one way signs.

·         North Town Road – Please do not park in Ray Mill Place car park.

·         Riverside Children’s Centre – Please do not park in the Children’s Centre Car Park.

·         Cars should not be parked on pathways. Please think about the safety of young children and those parents with pushchairs who will have to walk into the road and oncoming traffic to pass parked cars.

·         Please be aware of our walking families and local residents and slow down when near the school.

If Police Community Support Officers are called in by local residents this could lead to parking tickets being issued or even formal warnings. However, the safety of all of our children and families is our primary concern and we know that you will all agree that this is more important than a convenient drop off or pick up.
